A correct diet for diverticulitis recognizes that the sufferer needs to temporarily consume a low-fiber diet during the time of crisis to help the infected area to heal. A low-fiber diet does not need to mean low nutrition.

3 carrots sliced

2 vegetable broth cubes

Bring the vegetables to a boil and allow to simmer for 40 minutes or until vegetables are soft. The soup can be strained and the broth served alone or with some of the vegetables.
